Rules and Regulations

The Nations Cup Fantasy Soccer game is based on the African Nations Cup 2008, to be held in Ghana beginning on the 20th of January 2008, and ending on the 10th of February 2008. Fantasy game players will score points based on all matches played during the tournament.

The game will start from matches played on the 20th January 2008 and will run through to the final matches played on 10th February 2008.

Each entrant may enter an unlimited number of PAID for teams. If more than one team is entered, each team must have a different name.

How to Play

You need to select a squad of 11 starting players, plus 4 subs.

Your subs must consist of a Striker, Midfielder, Defender and Goal Keeper, and you can swap these around within your team without using up your allocated transfers, as long as you stick to your original chosen formation. Please Note - only the 11 starting players you select for your final team on match day will accumulate the relevant fantasy points.

You have until the published time of kick-off to make transfers.

You may select unlimited number of players from any one country. Each player will be given a value. The total value of your initial squad must not exceed $125 Million Dollars.

Players can only play in their designated position. For example, you cannot play a defender as an attacker.

Important: Up until 17.00GMT on Saturday 19th January 2008 there is a transfer amnesty - you can shuffle your team around to your heart's content without using any of your transfers. Transfers made after the transfer window closes will be taken from your transfers allocation for the game.

All teams which are complete when the transfer window closes will be automatically submitted. Any team incomplete on this deadline must manually submit their teams, and will not score points until they do so. Teams will not score points until the next matches.

Any transfers made once teams are submitted will count against your allocation for that game week.

You may register teams at any time before or during the tournament. Any teams registered before the transfer amnesty closes will not start scoring points until the 20th January 2008. Any teams registered once the tournament has started will only score points from the date the team is submitted.
