THE GOAL

The match is on. The ball is passed. AllSoccerAfrica receives it and shoots…and Ohhhhh! It’s a Goooaaal! What an outstanding, beautiful goal! African football fans around the world are jubilant. A destination is at hand and finally the path to world recognition is here.

So, how was the Goal orchestrated? It all started about two years ago, with the passion and drive of the captain Dennis, a strong midfielder, whose vision of the field is as clear as that of Patrick Viera, with a level of motivation and determination akin to that of Michael Essien, with individual displays as magical as those of J.J. Okocha and Zinadine Zidane. His passing as smooth-flowing as those of Mohamed Aboutrika and his finishing touch as deadly as Didier Drogba and Freddy Kanoute. That passion led to many arguments, over a glass of palm-wine, debating the act of the beautiful game; it took the team through many hours, days and nights, on the world wide web, hunting for one specific body of information: a one-stop internet destination where a fan like you can enter the world of African football and emerge satisfied. AllSoccerAfrica is that destination!

We welcome you to our world wide community of football enthusiasts, fanatics and trend-setters. What we all share is that passion for football. AllSoccerAfrica exists for you the fan because in this day and age, we as Africans should not have to agonize over whether or not Ghana beat Egypt, Nigeria tied Cameroon, Senegal still has to play South Africa in crucial matches, or Cote d’Ivoire’s world cup decider against Morocco, turned out spectacular! You don’t have to wonder any more!

AllSoccerAfrica, will cover African football with the same intensity and passion that engulfs La Bombonera Stadium during the Super Classico between Boca and River Plate, in Argentina, or The Kop (Anfield) when Liverpool plays Everton or Manchester United (England), or Nou Camp (Spain) when Barcelona plays Real Madrid, or in Egypt when Al-Ahly plays Zamalek at Cairo International Stadium, and the Soweto derby (South Africa), when the Kaizer Chiefs play Orlando Pirates.

Here at AllSoccerAfrica, football will be covered from corner to corner within the continent of Africa. You will get the news and reports, stats and live scores, profiles and other information on your favorite players and teams; follow the matches live as they happen; hold discussions with fellow fans in the chat room, as well as play fantasy games. And yes, because we are enthusiastic about the beautiful game, we will cover other major leagues around the world. AllSoccerAfrica exists because you, the fan, demand it!
